LATITUDE Gallery Relocates to New Space in Tribeca

5 Lispenard Street, New York NY 10013

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New York, NY — July 2025 — LATITUDE Gallery New York is pleased to announce its relocation to a new, expanded space at 5 Lispenard Street in Tribeca, opening in September 2025. The move marks a significant new chapter as the gallery transitions from its longtime Chinatown location to Tribeca, reflecting its continued growth and evolving presence in the New York City art world since 2020.

Over the past five years, LATITUDE has grown into a vital platform for emerging artists—particularly those from the Asian diaspora—committed to fostering cross-cultural dialogue and supporting bold, interdisciplinary practices. With a program that spans solo exhibitions, group shows, and international art fairs, LATITUDE has earned recognition for its thoughtful curatorial vision and commitment to community-building.

“At a time when many are pulling back, this move is our way of leaning in—with care, with clarity, and with purpose,” said Shihui Zhou, Founder and Director of LATITUDE Gallery. “We carry the spirit of Chinatown with us—not as a memory, but as a foundation—as we continue to shape a gallery that holds space for emerging voices, invites risk, and stays in dialogue with the world around us. We are thrilled to join the Tribeca community at such a pivotal moment in New York’s cultural life.”

The new gallery at 5 Lispenard spans over 2,800 square feet across two levels, allowing for more ambitious exhibitions, expanded programming, and deeper engagement with artists, curators, and audiences.

Opening in Tribeca builds on LATITUDE’s foundation in Chinatown, marking the expansion of a truly global program that continues to support emerging Asian voices and foster deeper cross-cultural dialogue. The new space reflects the gallery’s commitment to presenting work that demands depth, rigor, and international context. After half a decade of cultivating emerging voices, the relocation signals a renewed commitment to curatorial experimentation, long-term growth, and meaningful participation in the city’s evolving creative landscape.

LATITUDE’s new space will debut with Birth of the Between, curated by Neil Jiang, opening September 2025. The opening reception will take place Saturday, September 6, from 5–8 PM. Additional public programs around the exhibition will be announced in September.
