Artnet News, December 13, 2023

All year long at the Artnet Gallery Network, we are constantly seeing and learning about new—or new to us—artists, exhibitions, and galleries. With the Artnet Gallery Network, you too can easily search or browse art and artists from around the world, finding pieces that will fit perfectly in your home or office, or simply discover something new.

For our final roundup of the year, we’ve brought together five intriguing artists ranging from emerging to established that captured our attention. This is only a small sample of the numerous artists we’ve found and started following this year, and there’s plenty more to be seen on the Artnet Gallery Network. And be sure to keep an eye out for our next roundup in the New Year.

Chicago-based artist Josiah Elner is a recent graduate of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he received his M.F.A. this year. His work frequently examines the relationships between humans and nature through the lens of the current moment, namely the Digital Age. He was recently part of a dual-artist show with Latitude Gallery, New York, where he presented six oil paintings composed primarily in shades and hues of blue, portraying nature-inspired landscapes and elements of figuration rife with imagination.
