Shuling Guo China, b. 1986

Guo Shuling (b.1983) graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing (B.F.A.) in 2010. She immigrated to the United States in 2019, and now lives in Philadelphia and aboard the Sailing Vessel Selkie. In 2012, she had her first solo exhibition Secret Fragrance in Beyond Art Space in Beijing. Since then, her work has been widely exhibited in Beijing, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and among other places. Her works have been included in the permanent collections of Central Academy of Fine Arts Art Museum (Beijing) and Art Museum of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts (Guangzhou). In 2020 she held a solo exhibition in New York at Fou Gallery: 5—6 pm. Followed by a second solo exhibition at Fou Gallery in 2022 - Sotto Voce. In Autumn 2022 her work was featured in Platform Art. Her work has been selected to appear in New American Paintings, 2024 Issue 172.
